Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about AI Interview Analyzer.
What is AI Interview Analyzer?
AI Interview Analyzer is available as a Windows desktop application and a web application. It helps recruiters record, transcribe, and analyze job interviews using AI. It provides objective scoring against evaluation criteria generated from the job description, generates professional feedback, and enables candidate comparison — all while being GDPR-compliant and EU AI Act ready.
Does the AI make hiring decisions?
No. AI Interview Analyzer is a decision SUPPORT tool, not a decision maker. The AI provides analysis, scores, and evidence-based insights, but the final hiring decision always remains with the human recruiter. This is by design and aligned with the EU AI Act requirements.
Is it GDPR compliant?
Yes. We require explicit candidate consent before any recording or analysis. Candidates can request access to their data, request deletion, or withdraw consent at any time. All data is processed and stored within the EU on Microsoft Azure infrastructure (West Europe and Sweden Central regions), and we follow data minimization principles.
What languages are supported?
Both transcription and the application interface are available in all 24 official EU languages. You can conduct interviews and receive analysis in any of these languages.
How does the credit system work?
Credits are the currency for interview analysis. There are three modes, each with different pricing depending on your plan (ranges show Enterprise to Basic subscription tiers): Provide your own transcript: €0.62–€1.02 per 15-minute interview, or €2.50–€4.08 per 60-minute interview. Upload an audio recording for transcription and analysis: €1.25–€2.04 per 15-minute interview, or €5.00–€8.17 per 60-minute interview. Live recording with real-time transcription and AI hints: €2.50–€4.08 per 15-minute session, or €9.99–€16.33 per 60-minute session. All credits accumulate — no monthly reset. Credits are valid for a minimum of 12 months from purchase. Bulk credit packs can reduce costs even further — the Mega pack (€999 for 10,000 credits) brings a 60-minute live session down to just €8.00.
Can I use my own transcripts?
Yes — and it's the most affordable way to use the platform. Simply paste or upload your transcript and get full AI analysis, scoring, and feedback. A 15-minute interview costs just €0.62 on Enterprise, and a full 60-minute interview only €2.50. No transcription costs, just pure AI analysis. This is ideal if you already record interviews with your own tools or use a third-party transcription service.
What does the AI analyze?
The AI extracts questions and answers from the transcript, maps them to evaluation criteria generated from your job description, and provides scored assessments with evidence quotes. It identifies strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement. It does NOT analyze voice tone, accent, or any protected characteristics.
Is the candidate's data safe?
Yes. Candidate data is protected on Microsoft Azure with private networking, no public database access, role-based permissions, and audit logs. Azure OpenAI does not retain your transcripts or use them for training. When a candidate is deleted, their audio, transcript, analysis, and reports are permanently removed. All data stays within the EU.
Does the candidate know they're being recorded?
Yes, always. Our mandatory consent flow sends an email to the candidate before the interview, explaining exactly what will happen with their data. The interview cannot start without confirmed consent.
What platforms does it run on?
AI Interview Analyzer is available as a Windows desktop application and a web application. Both connect to our cloud API for AI processing, so your data and analysis are accessible from either platform.
Can I compare multiple candidates?
Yes. The comparison feature shows candidates in a detailed comparison matrix with per-criterion score breakdowns across all evaluation criteria. You can rank candidates by overall score or drill down to see who performed best on each requirement. Export the comparison as a PDF report.
How does AI Coach work?
AI Coach is private candidate feedback for candidates who opt in. Before the interview, the recruiter enables AI Coach and the candidate chooses it on the consent page. After analysis, AI generates strengths, areas to improve, and concrete advice in the style of a career mentor. The recruiter never sees or edits this coaching. It is separated from the hiring decision and protected by safety guardrails, including architectural isolation, AI validation, and adversarial testing with 349 inputs. Separately, the recruiter can also compose their own editable feedback with AI assistance.
Does it integrate with ATS systems?
Yes. The Enterprise plan includes ATS (Applicant Tracking System) read integration with 40+ systems (including Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, BambooHR, SAP SuccessFactors, and more) via Kombo.dev. This allows you to import candidate data directly from your existing recruitment workflow. Initial setup is handled by our team during onboarding.
How much does it cost per interview?
The cost depends on the interview duration, mode, and your plan. Here are the ranges from Enterprise to Basic: Provide your own transcript — 15 min: €0.62–€1.02, 60 min: €2.50–€4.08. Upload audio for transcription — 15 min: €1.25–€2.04, 60 min: €5.00–€8.17. Live recording with real-time AI — 15 min: €2.50–€4.08, 60 min: €9.99–€16.33. The Mega credit pack (€999 for 10,000 credits) lowers costs even further — a 15-minute transcript analysis drops to just €0.50. See our pricing section for plan details.
What audio setup is required?
Desktop app: Uses your microphone for your voice and Windows WASAPI loopback for the candidate's voice from video calls. Most Windows 10/11 PCs support this out of the box. If loopback is not available, you can enable Stereo Mix or install a free virtual audio cable. Web app: Uses your browser's microphone for your voice and browser tab sharing for the candidate's voice. Requires Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. You select the video call tab to share its audio when recording starts. Both platforms record two audio channels that are merged for transcription.
Where is my data hosted?
All data is processed and stored within the EU on Microsoft Azure infrastructure. Primary region: West Europe (Netherlands). AI processing: Sweden Central. No data leaves EU borders. Private network architecture with no public database access.
Is my data used to train AI models?
No. We use Azure OpenAI, which contractually guarantees zero data retention and zero training on customer data. Your transcripts, audio, and analysis results are never used to improve any AI model.
How does data retention and deletion work?
Each organization configures their retention period (default: 365 days from hiring decision). When retention expires, all candidate data is permanently deleted automatically. Candidates can also request immediate deletion at any time via GDPR rights. Deletion is irreversible and covers audio, transcript, analysis, and reports.
Do I need the browser extension?
No. The extension is one of three ways to record. You can also use the desktop app (for in-person or phone interviews) or upload your own audio/transcript. The web portal works in any browser for managing interviews, viewing reports, and comparing candidates without installing anything.
